As a member of NISC's Product Design team, I am responsible for creating user-friendly solutions that solve complex challenges. In addition to my core responsibilities, I seek out opportunities to improve standards, processes, and systems to help make the team more effective and efficient.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, requirements analysts, software developers, project managers, and fellow UX experts.
• Propose, design, and implement improvements to NISC's design library.
• Provide insights into how designs may be impacted by technical requirements and development process considerations.
• Enhance Axure library components to enable fellow designers to create high-fidelity prototypes more efficiently.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and independently propose solutions.
• Design and facilitate remote usability tests for high-impact projects.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends through independent research, online learning resources, and collaboration with colleagues.
• Share best practices via documentation and ad hoc presentations.

Epic Systems, 2017-2020

As a senior developer on Epic's framework team, I was responsible for designing, teaching, and supporting company-wide standards and systems.

• Designed, taught, and implemented company-wide accessibility standards.
• Designed company-wide coding standards for SASS.
• Collaborated with division leaders, product owners, designers, and trainers.
• Designed and created systems to synchronize skinning across legacy and web platforms.
• Co-designed a universal framework for user customizations.
• Designed and implemented drag-and-drop customization for toolbar controls.
• Proposed, co-designed, and implemented an accessibility-driven color system.
• Migrated and enhanced a utility for viewing user customization data.
• Authored and maintained company-wide educational resources for areas of ownership.
• Designed, facilitated, and analyzed usability tests.

Epic Systems, 2012-2017

As a team lead on Epic's framework team, I was responsible for managing a team of software developers, coordinating large-scale projects, and developing framework-level solutions.

• Managed a team of 5-10 software developers.
• Coordinated multiple company-wide projects focused on accessibility, usability, and aesthetics.
• Analyzed and defined company-wide requirements for Section 508 and ADA compliance.
• Created and presented company-wide educational materials for accessibility support.
• Co-designed framework-level enhancements to retrofit accessibility support for ActiveX-based components.
• Designed and implemented support for High Contrast, Dark Mode, and Low Light skins.
• Enhanced and supported application-wide skinning infrastructure.
• Oversaw web migration of the application shell user interface.
• Designed and implemented a SASS-based infrastructure for cross-product skin support.

Epic Systems, 2010-2012

I began at Epic as a member of the Foundations division, which is responsible for developing standards, frameworks, and components that are used by thousands of other Epic developers. I had the pleasure of working alongside many of Epic's most elite and veteran software developers.

I quickly found my niche in the realm of UI-oriented projects, allowing me to combine my passion for User Experience with my background in Computer Science.

• Enhanced data entry controls, user personalization, and application skinning infrastructure.
• Proposed and implemented new application skins to meet user needs.
• Implemented an ASN.1 BER encoder/decoder to support UZIpas smart cards.
